About Our Facility and Staff

C.A.R.E Facility

TriBeCa Plastic Surgery and our on-site ambulatory surgical center, the Centre for Aesthetics, Rejuvenation & Enhancement (CARE FACILITY), are housed in a turn of the century loft building in the trendy TriBeCa neighborhood of New York City, surrounded by upscale restaurants, high-end shopping, and celebrities. Extensive renovation of the building has resulted in a modern medical office housed within a charming nineteenth century facade.

On our second floor are an attractive reception area and our waiting room, which faces West, overlooking Duane Park, the oldest park in New York City. Patient education and consultation occurs in one of our comfortable consultation rooms, and there are treatment rooms on the second floor as well. Our laser and skin care area is located on the first floor, and our two state of the art operating suites are on the lower level. For most cases, procedures are performed here, in our C.A.R.E Facility, an AAAASF-certified facility, complete with a pre-op area, full anesthesia and resuscitative equipment and first and second stage recovery areas.

Our Staff

In addition to our physician, Dr. Sydney Coleman, we have a full-time physician assistant, practice manager, patient care coordinator, medical assistant and receptionist. We also have an association with an insurance specialist, who aids us in pre-certification and reimbursement for procedures (like breast reconstruction) which are commonly covered by insurance. Our anesthesiologists are private contractors, who are board-certified, and we use the same anesthesiologists regularly, so they are quite familiar with our unique surgeries and how to provide the best care to our patients. Our operating room nurse, an R.N., with special credentialing in surgery and post-operative care, has been working with us for several years. She and our physician assistant are present during surgery and post-op recovery.
