TriBeCa Plastic Surgery is the office of Dr. Sydney R. Coleman and Dr. Alesia P. Saboeiro. Dr. Coleman is world-renowned as the pioneer and innovator of LipoStructure®, a fat grafting technique for restoring volume, improving contours, correcting surgically-induced defects such as liposuction deformities and lumpectomy “dents” and rejuvenating skin and underlying tissues using one’s own body fat. Dr. Saboeiro is one of the few female board certified plastic surgeons in Manhattan, and the only surgeon in the world who has had hands-on intensive training in Dr. Coleman’s unique fat grafting technique. She is skilled in the more traditional cosmetic procedures as well, such as eyelid surgery, breast augmentation with saline and silicone implants, breast lift, and tummy tucks. With their knowledge of filling with fat, Dr. Coleman and Dr. Saboeiro are particularly adept at the use of synthetic fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Sculptra, and Botox. The office also offers a host of other treatments such as Zeltiq Cool Sculpting (“fat-freezing” to reduce small, localized fatty areas), light and laser treatments, chemical peels and Thermage.
In the past few years, the plastic surgery community, and indeed, the lay public, has come to recognize what Dr. Coleman has known for decades – that a major component of aging is loss of subcutaneous volume (fat under the skin), and that restoration of that volume with fat or fillers rather than simply pulling and lifting (as is common in the traditional facelift) is the best way to achieve a more youthful appearance. One’s own body fat can be used to enhance and sharpen the jaw line, fill in hollows around the eyes, make the cheekbones more prominent and fill in lines, wrinkles and folds.
Dr. Alesia Saboeiro is one of only a small number of board certified female plastic surgeons in Manhattan. Her specialties include breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, blepharoplasty, breast reduction, breast lift, structural fat grafting, as well as Botox, Restylane, Juvederm, Sculptra, and all of the newest fillers. She is the only surgeon in the world who has had hands on training in structural fat grafting with Dr. Coleman.
